i am using windows vista home premium and it freezes randomly. Explorer crashes and I cant open quicklaunch links but windows minimize/maximize works. Also I have to restart explorer manually despite I set it to restart shell automatically if freezes. Also I run desktop and explorer as a separate process.
Please help , thank you.

Reply: (edit)this used to happen to me all the time. im not really sure what the exact problem was, but i checked my connections on the hard drives and rearanged them on different cables. Dont ask me how this worked but it did for me. Im guessing its worth a try. Amd X2 4400+ @2.4ghz

Thanks a lot for your reply, now I know I am not the only one. I am using a Laptop so I cant change cables for HDD or much of hardware :(

Reply: (edit)o, well that could be a problem then.lol. i got nothin then except a new clean install and no overclocking (vista is horrible with OC, although I highly doubt you are doing that on a laptop) Amd X2 4400+ @2.4ghz

Tried using process manager but it shows explorer.exe using highest ram and 2nd is mozilla firefox.
Process with highest cpu is system idle process and then explorer.
