Comment: Hi, i am using windows vista home premium and it freezes randomly. Explorer crashes and I cant open quicklaunch links but windows minimize/maximize works. Also I have to restart explorer manually despite I set it to restart shell automatically if freezes. Also I run desktop and explorer as a separate process. Please help , thank you. Reply: (edit)this used to happen to me all the time. im not really sure what the exact problem was, but i checked my connections on the hard drives and rearanged them on different cables. Dont ask me how this worked but it did for me. Im guessing its worth a try. Reply: (edit)Hi again Napster, I am not using OC. Thanks for your time and that link , will look for some info. there.:) Tried using process manager but it shows explorer.exe using highest ram and 2nd is mozilla firefox. Process with highest cpu is system idle process and then explorer.
