Vista Explorer Doesnt See Secondary

My primary drive works fine and vista is running. I use a secondary HDD for backup files. This drive is detected in Bios and in Vista Device Mgr, however vista explorer does not 'see' it at all. What now? Thanks

I would go into disk managemnet console and reformat secondary hdd and that should take care of it. Also remember that the physical size and the formatted size are different.

I was hoping NOT to lose all my data by reformatting the drive.

In that case, try an external enclosure & connect the backup HDD via USB or FireWire.
