I recently bought an Alienware m5500i laptop and upgraded it from XP Media Center to Vista Business Edition. The problem with this is that I lose a lot of the default Alienware apps and drivers. This gives me the following problems.
-Can't map hotkeys (mail, media player, etc.) -Headphones jack doesn't work -Volume wheel doesn't work -No program for battery optimization
My main concern is the headphones jack, but the battery optimization is also kind of a big deal on an Alienware Laptop (it drains the battery pretty quickly). Thanks for any help.

SIW was helpful, but Alienware doesn't seem to offer any sound drivers. I guess they don't expect you to upgrade the OS on laptops shipped with XP, so they don't offer many Vista drivers. I'll just have to deal with it.
