Vista don't save files nor changes

Please help. I do not understand Vista yet at all: If I save some pictures in MyDocuments and turn off the machine, next start do not show any picture saved in previous session. Why?... Where are the pictures?... What can i do?? Any advice will be appreciate a lot.

Well, I think all you should know additionally that in every start this Vista Home pop-up a system message saying some like was in a temporal session, or sometihing so.
