Can anyone recommend a good site for Windows Vista desktop theme packs. Most of the stuff i see seem to be XP themes and i dont want to put stuff on which will mess my OS up.

You've answered the question i dont want to put stuff on which will mess my OS up yourself. In other words, any theme pack is liable to mess up your OS anyway.

Call it themes or visual styles; there's an avalanche of the kind of stuff you desire over here. Just be sure to curb your enthusiasm before browsing through the various options available for download.

Oh & BTW, it also might help to know what you are doing before loading some of those: While some require a third party application like WindowBlinds from Stardock, it is not uncommon for others to require overwriting a couple of system files native to your Windows Vista installation.

With that stated, deploying the visual themes is not by any stretch some rocket science. I know that because I have (out of sheer boredom) tried a few of those.
