Comment: Hi to all. I'm looking for the name of good programs to replace Vista Defrag and Chkdsk. As for defrag I used Diskeeper 2007 with XP and it was great. But diskeeper 2007 64 doen't work on Vista 64 and Diskeeper 2008 64 sucks. Also tried O&O Pro 10 and also sucked. As for Chkdsk I can't find any software. Thanks I'm just a shadow of my former self!

Reply: (edit)Built-in Defrag and chkdsk have always sucked since Windows 95. They take too long to work. And they do a crappy job. I'm just a shadow of my former self!

Reply: (edit)Diskeeper 2008 is perhaps the best defragger around, and works without any problems on Vista 32/64. If I am not wrong, even the 2007 version of Diskeeper was certified for Vista 32/64.
