Hey...

Im not so much of a Vista fan but, something is wrong with my cousins computer, and I can't figure it out. No sound is coming from the computer. Something is wrong with it. The speaker icon has an "X" on it, and when you click 9n it to enable it, it says: sound setting is not enbled, so I want to know if I could reset the computer to it's default settings, could I do i?

Sounds like the drivers are not installed. Right click My Computer then Hardware tab then click Device Manager. Is there a yellow '!' by one of the items? If so then you need the drivers for the audio device. If there is a red 'X' by it, it has been disabled, double click this entry and in the dialog box, select 'Enable This Device'
Of course I'm assuming the audio hasn't been muted!
Go to Start, All Program's - Accessories - Entertainment - Volume Control.. make sure 'Mute All' is not checked!!

Computers... designed to entertain, help with work but most of all to frustrate you!
