hey! i have news for those of you who don't know, and a question for those who can answer it! you can get aero running in windows vista basic. it's easy! 1) Regedit: HKCU/Software/Microsoft/Windows/DWM/ Composition = 1 CompositionPolicy = 2 2) Right click Command Prompt and run as admin: net stop uxsms net start uxsms 3) Done! notice in this screen shot http://img251.imageshack.us/my.php?... vista basic and aero! the start menu icon thing in the top right hand corner, the shadows! they work! ----------- now my question: this trick doesn't enable glass or the seethrough stuff. how do i get that to work?
