Hi everyone. I have a new Gateway laptop (about 2 months old). I have only the basic stuff installed (itunes, open office etc). Very very often when I'm using firefox it is stop working (not responding) and then the whole computer will freeze up and I have to hard shut down the computer (can't access anything even task manager) This happens most of the time that I use FF but sometimes it happens with in 5 minutes, other times I can use it for hours before it freezes up. It's been happening for months now and I can't live with it any more. Does anyone have any suggestions!??
1. Uninstall and reinstall firefox, 2. If that is a no go install firefox 3.5 Pre Release candidate 3. If not try the other browsers,Chrome,Safari, pera etc.

Hi Tara,
I am wondering if the problem is with Firefox specifically. Have you used Internet Explorer at all, or other browsers to narrow down the problem to Firefox?

I've tried Internet Explorer and Chrome and both have the same problems. FF is just the browser I use most often and therefore run into the most problems with it. I should have mentioned that earlier, I'm sorry. Any thoughts? It is a very irritating problem! :)

Tara D.: I have a new Gateway laptop (about 2 months old) Then you have a manufacturer's warranty. Your laptop is defective, and you should have them fix it before your 90 days run out.
