General question. When I have several internet explorer pages open and I close one it says error or restarting page and closes all my explorer windows and opens a single page again. Is this a feature I can disable?
Thanks.

Are you using IE7 ? I use IE7 with Vista and I don't have the problem you described. It could be due to some other software. You could try reinstalling IE.

IE7... when i have more than one window open and close it(or attempt to) it goes into a shadow and a popup box says something like trouble with IE closing and then it goes into restarting and closes all windows and opens back up one.

How much RAM total do you have on your machine? And is it shared with the video chipset?

3 gigs and it says 256 dedicated for video. I'll have to check when I get home to see if it's shared. it's an 8400m video.

It's true that Vista comes with IE7 preinstalled so it's best to assume they're using IE7. However, IE8 Beta has come out and I know many (including me) who are using it as well.

As far as the initial problem, try doing an IE7 reset.

Tools > Internet Options > Advanced tab, Reset... button

Greg

Whoops, that fix was already included in the link Sabertooth posted. My mistake. :)
