Vista & XP Networking

Ok, i just recieved my new vista laptop today and i have my old XP computer. For some reason i cannot set up a network connection between them. My 2 XP computers network just fine but the vista does not show up and the vista does not see the XP computers. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Downloaded that patch & installed, restarted both computers and there is still no way to access either :/

The laptop is wireless & the XP is wired. My laptop now detects my XP computer which is nice since i can transfer over all my files but the XP doesn't see the vista.

My guess is that you still do not have file sharing permissions set properly. Go to "Network and sharing center" in the control panel. You will see file sharing and public sharing. Make sure those are on. Also make sure you are set up as PRIVATE network and not public.
I'm on a network with XP/vista as well and I'm not having problems, so you have a setting wrong somewhere.
