Hi to all. I'm experiencing poor/slow tranfer rates when I move files between HDD's with vista 64. I have 3 HDD's, Seagate 500GB, 2x Maxtor 200GB. The board is SATA2 althou all the driver are working in SATA mode probably because the Maxtor HDD's are SATA and the Seagate is SATA2. So the SATA2 drive reverts to SATA. I think. Is there any type of HDD analyzer/benchmark for vista 64? I used HDTach in XP but it doesn't work on Vista 64. How can I improve my HDD's performance?
Note: The Maxtor HDD are already with acoustic management disabled.

To improve harddisk performance, click on start icon, and then right click on system, scroll down to properties. Afterwards click on hardware and it should bring up device manager. Once device manager is up click on disk drives, and right click and select properties. Under policies there should be a option at the bottom to enable write caching. Also after that is done, make sure you go to the website listed below and download the performance and realiability updates provided by microsoft. This should help speed up your machine with transfers.
