Viewing/deleting Index.dat files

I am wondering how to look at my index.dat files and how to delete some of them. I'd like to clean out my computer at work. There isn't anything bad on there but I'd prefer not to have my boss see my history. Any help would be great. Jord

Is that a program? If it is, will someone be able to see that I've used it on my computer? Sorry, I not very good with computer stuff!
