hi, i am not able to watch any videos (avi or mpg) format on my laptop. the audio plays fine but the video does not.
the screen just stay black.
its the same if played with VLC player or windows media player
my pc specs are:
windows vista home basic 2 bit
graphic card: GeForce 7000M
please help!!

Try this: Turn off hardware acceleration for the video adapter:
Right-click on desktop >> Personalize
Click 'Display Settings' >> 'Advanced Settings
Click 'Troubleshoot' tab
Click 'Change Settings'
If 'Change Settings' is greyed out it means the driver for your video adapter does not allow changes to acceleration.
A newer driver may allow the change to be made, or you may find a newer driver fixes the video playback problem without making any changes to it's settings.
The nVidia drivers page is here:
http://www.nvidia.com/Download/inde...Easiest method is use Option 2 on the web-page by clicking the grey button 'Graphics Drivers'
