Videos used to play in explorer window when i clicked on a link, but now it makes me download the file. Is there a way to get this back

In internet explorer 7 you have to download video plugins. If you go somewhere that uses media player as their video a little bar pops up at the top of the screen prompting you to instal the media player plugin. Just hit ok and the video should appear.
