Ok, so my vista install was going crazy and I made a few partitions on my HD so I could reinstall XP.
I made a 20 gig partition, and 2 100 gig partitions. One of those 100 gigs still had vista on it.
When I went to reboot to install XP on the 20 gig partition I kept getting a 'verifying dmi pool" problem. Very annoying.
I kept trying different things and I got the system to boot back to vista once... but not again.
When I pulled up XP with the XP CD it only showed 123 gig partition... it didn't recognize the other ones for some reason? I'm afraid if I install Xp that way it won't recognize my other partitions?
So i tried repair with the vista ultimate disk and now it says there is a system disk error every time I restart??
Is the boot file screwed?
Do i need to use a boot disk "fdisk /mbr??"Is it a bios problem? I don't think so.
I want to try to save the files on the partitions that didn't have vista!
Please help.
