Comment:
I got a Sony Vaio laptop and tried to install Windows Vista Ultimate (64 Bit) on it. It copied the files then when it got to the expanding files phase it would always get to 95% then i would be presented with an error saying: Windows Cannot access the installation sources. Verify that the installation sources are accessible, and restart the installation. I was reading something about how you need to do a Fresh Install or whatever that is, i didnt really understand how that works and also couldnt find the right drivers for the chipset. Im not 100% sure thats what im supposed to do so if anyone has any ideas..

First you need to make sure that all the required 64 bit hardware drivers including the motherboard are available for your computer. Check on the Sony website for availability. To install Vista 64 bit requires that you format the drive (you will loose everything on that drive, so backup first) then do a clean install of Vista. It can not be installed over a 32 bit operating system.
