Comment:

When I start my computer, it loads a temporary profile because it says that 'the user profile did not load correctly'.

The weird part is, that if I unplug my computer for 5 mins or so...then try and start it, it starts normally with my profile and all the data etc. But if I try to restart, it goes back to the temporary profile with none of my data etc.

I tried to do a system restore but it said there were no restore points - even though it's set to make automatic restore points. I went to the hard drive and did the error check ( or reboot ) that came up with nothing.

What do I do about this?
Thanks for your help!

Are you able to manually create a restore point while your normal profile is loaded?

Hi
Yes I can make a restore point when my profile loads properly. ( I did one just to see if it would).
