I've got a very annoying problem with Windows Media Centre and my USB TV Stick.
When I first moved here, my PC worked fine upon setting it up, and finally i had an aerial socket to hook up my USB DVBT TV stick to. And sure enough, I set it up in Windows Media Centre and it worked fine and I was able to watch TV on my PC.
But a few weeks back I reinstalled Windows (for another reason) and now it refuses to work. The TV stick is recognised when I plug it in, and the drivers are found on Windows Update (as they were before) It will install, but when I do a channel scan, it finds 0 channels, whereas it used to pick up around 90 before the re-install! Also, all the other TVs in the house work, so it's not the main antennae causing the problem.
Also, I've tried it in other USB ports but it won't install - I just have a yellow exclamtion mark in Device Manager next to "DVBT", the info saying that it is installed, but not correctly configured. Yet it doesn't need any configuring!
I'm very confused here. It was working fine before reinstall and i see no reason for it not to now, so any help is much appreciated!
Cheers

Try to remove it from the system at the yellow !. Not disable.
Then go to the freecom site and get their drivers and follow the install instructions. One set of drivers is for the digital only and not the hybrid version.
I read it wrong and answer it wrong too. So get off my case you peanut.

Alex:
If you are using this with a cable TV hookup, could it be that your cable TV provider recently switched from an analog signal to a digital signal?

Is the USB TV stick configured correctly, though you write it does not need configuring ?
On one install if configures itself correctly so it does not need configuring, on another install it may not configure itself correctly so it does need configuring.
If you are seeing a yellow exclamation mark in Device Manager, it means the device is not detected well. Just remove it in Device Manager and restart the PC.
