on my laptop i have 3 usb ports 2 work fine one is a sata/usb port it was working fine i shut my laptop down and it hasnt worked since. i looked in device manager and it shows no warnings or any sign of change. and i have uninstalled and reinstalled everything under usb in there as well any clues???

... so you've used the combo port for usb and it worked ok(?)
