Good day all.
I purchased my Gateway from bestbuy about 2 months ago and i used the anytime upgrade CD to go to vista ultimate. I had a HDD crash and had to reload the OEM vista home premium cd that came with my laptop. My question is, do i need to pay again to upgrade to ultimate though i paid the first time?

You should have to, if you had a HDD crash, just use the key for ultimate that was provided for you. If you dont have that give microsoft a call and they should be able to provide you with the key.

You do not have to pay again. You can recover your upgrade simply by signing in to your digital locker with your Windows Live ID. The link below has all the info.
