Do you have XP Pro 32bit or 64bit? I asked because XP Pro 64bit requires a clean install to Vista. On the other hand, if you have XP Pro 32bit - is it a full install or was it initially based on an upgrade install?

I have XP PRO 32 bit. It is a upgrade, I am using the CD that cam from my MS Action Pack Suubscription. I was able to resolve the issue. I did a google seach on the error, and from a dos I found, I changed the boot.ini to the typical format. My boot ini was a little weird, something I never saw in a boot.ini before. I am still not sure why that was, I did a clean install of XP with SP 2 embedded on the CD, then right from there, installed Vista Upgrade version.
