What Win 7 Upgrade package did you buy? You have Vista Home Premium which tells me that you need Windows 7 Home premium Upgrade disk. If you have any other upgrade disk then windows will tell you that it cannot complete the upgrade. The reason is simply that it is a downgrade and that does not happen in the world of Microsoft.
Vista Home Premium=Windows 7 Home premium upgrade
Vista Business PC=Windows 7 Professional upgrade
Vista Ultimate=Windows 7 Ultimate upgradeThis should give you a guide as to which upgrade disk to purchase in relation to what you already have on your machine.

terii, great answer!!!
Some HELP in posting on Computing.net plus free progs and instructions Cheers
