How can I keep the Icons on my desktop where I put them. it seems, when i reboot the icons all move to the left of the screen. where do I go to keep them in the same place,when i shut down and reboot

right click the desktop view and make sure auto arrange icons is off thats all i can think off i think.

thanks for the reply, i should have said in my message, that the auto arrange 'was off'.. that is what confuses me..

unclick aline to grid as well, i'm pretty sure by defalt vista moves um all over on u after reset or log off

Always back up...I JUST LOST 287 gigs entertainment!

apply auto arang then deselect it maby a reboot in between
