Hi! chaps, I'm having so much trouble with my vista premium, that I'm seriously thinking of unstalling it then reinstalling it.
I can't seem to get any help with my problems.
I can't set a system restore point, or go back to basics, or do a backup, as I get an error that 0x800??? files are missing, I'd get on to Mesh about it, but I can't afford a pound an hour, when you're put on hold for ages before you speak to anyone.
Every forum I contacted said you had to get a free program from Spyhunter to get rid of ContraVirus, but it's all as con, you do have to but it, and it still doesn't work.
My Belkin power wouldn't let me boot up unless you plugged it in afterwards, so I got onto Belkin, and they sent me the details that I needed to buy a Vista compatible one, and I bought it threw Amazon, and doesn't work unless I plug it in after booting up.
The problems are endless.
I hope I can get some help here, I find this forum the most helpful of the lot.
Thanks for any help.hwillett

If you have any & all critical data backed up & you have a Windows DVD or your OEM-supplied recovery disc - you can wipe the machine & go back to a fresh slate.
Although, it might not take very long before you are right back at the same spot if your computer habits are less than desirable.
Back to you.
