'unexpected catastrophic failure'

When I run one of my chess programs, Chessmaster 9.0, I get the error message: "Unexpected catastrophic failure! Please investigate then kill process. (0x0be0dead)" and then the program is broken. I'm not sure what this means but it might have something to do with this I think.
