undo a restore to Vista HP factory settings?

Specs: Windows 7
i just restore my laptop to factory settings as a mistake!! i lost oll my videos, pics, etc any chance i can get it back??? i have a hp dv 6000 vista!! my c disk is empty, but my hp_recovery disk d is full!! wat to do i really lost very precious files!!

Unlikely, a full restore usually involves formatting the drive before reinstallation. You mention that the 'c' drive appears empty, so I take it you stopped the reinstallation before it actually started, so depending on how far through the process you went, & how much data you had on the disk there are a few free utilities that may be able to recover something as long as the files haven't been overwritten - do a Google for 'free recovery software' - the other problem is that you'll need to attach the drive to another computer running the recovery software in order to run it.
