I have movies that were burned using windows 98, and programs on using the same. When I put them in my drive, my computer reads it as a blank disk, and ask if I want to prepare disk for burning..

VLC media only works with windows 95, 98 or Me...
I guess I'll say that on my other computer with Windows 98, all the movies works just fine, and my computer programs also work fine.
However, on the new computer that I just purchased with Vista Home premium.....
it reads for the movies:
as a blank disk and asked to prepare disk for burning...
for the programs:
it recommends windows 98 or older...
isn't Vista supposed to incorporperate and consolidate all older programs ???
Do I need to enable something or download compatibiltiy file?
