Hi peeps, quite an unusual one this....never seen it before. If i put my phone on my desk near my pc, *sometimes* just before i get a text it totally locks up my pc and i have to do a hard reset reboot.

what on earth is that about? I know its obviously radio waves causing it but can i stop it, never seen this before!

I'd bet a nickel it would never happen to a normal as sold computer. I could be wrong. EMI and RFI could affect computers but I have for years been around some massive signals and have never had much problems. I mean thousands of watts of power on many bands.

Start with event viewer logs, set dump logs up if not so.

Be sure case is closed and all screws are attached and all the filler panels of metal are there. It was at one time a bit shielded.

If you have phone line to computer for fax or modem might disconnect that for test. Could be the modem is causing the lockup.

"Best Practices", Event viewer, host file, perfmon, antivirus, anti-spyware, Live CD's, backups, are in my top 10
