well I have a Toshiba Satellite A215-S5808 Model laptop. It has a AMD 64 Athlon X2 Dual-Core Processor TK-55 1.80 GHz. a 32 Bit Operating system. The Video card is a ATI Radeon x1200 with 128.00 MB adapter RAM. With Preloaded Vista...

My Question is Can I pop in a XP Professional disc and reformat the whole laptop to install XP pro with the laptop still being functional (as in working after updating service packs and XP pro updates and yes its a genuine copy of XP)? I personally have a strong hate for vista, but since the laptop is preloaded I wanna get rid of it. I am trying not to make a dumb move and do it without research then end up with a broke laptop because I wasn't smart enough to ask around.

Yes feasible, but it would be easier to wait a few weeks for Windows 7............................
