Toshiba M305D-S4840 black screen

Ok, so... my Toshiba completely froze last night so i had to force shut down, then i tried to reboot, then i got the black screen of death :( it will get to the Toshiba screen, then after about a minute it will say windows is loading files, then it will go to the Microsoft corp with the moving bars, then after that another black screen of death :( ive tried the battery removal thing, ive tired F8, ive tried just about everything except system restore because i dont have the disk. but now, i tried blowing the dust out of it and now it will start for about 5 min. then die whilst being plugged in... HELP!!!!!!!

Sounds like the boot manager has been corrupted, However the only way to get it to continue is to actually get a vista installation disk or borrow one to run windows repair to fix this issue.

When it gets back to the desktop you will also need to fix the windows master boot record via check disk.

This can be done by clicking Start / Run/ and type CMD

from the command prompt type in CHKDSK /x to perform a check disk with full repairs to the file system.
