Hello. My hardrive crashed last week and I got a new. I have had a windows Vista OS system that I got cheaply through school for months now but I never installed it. I figured that installing it with my new hard rive would be the perfect time.
Well its been a few days and although I like most of the features Vista seems to offer there are a couple of major sticking points that make we want to go back to XP.
First of all, I can't seem to get the text and icons the way I want them. Most of the text for my web browsing is just too small and I am tired of constantly adjusting the ctl+mouse wheel setting or DPI settings, etc.
Secondly, sites with video streaming such as AOL and Hulu run much slower and the videos often stutter. I suspect that I don't have sufficient enough ram to run this program fluidly.
If I were to switch back to XP, what would I have to do? From some people I hear that this would be a major hassle. For others I hear it's a simple process. Is there any type of preparation I should do or should I just pop my XP disc in?
Thanks for any help.
