The new Int Exp 9 changed all exe files to ink files.

Specs: Windows Vista, 6.00 GB
Int Exp 9, wont open any exe files. All icons bring up "View and track downloads". A 'flash' appears in the background and all installed programs wont open. All exe files appear to be ink files Internet is unaffected. Use Home Premimum, 86x.

sounds like you are malware/virus infected. respond accordingly.

hopefully you have a back up or previous system restore point to before this corruption happened.

Am suprised. Thought it was thoroughly protected well. Had strong confidence in AVG-Avast-Security Essentals which all are set to Auto. Goes to show that no one can escape the possibility of Malware/Viruses. Yes, backed up. Will investigate, and/or change security programs. Thank you much!

The EXE fix on here should fix your immediate problem:

However, as said, you also need to check for viruses. Try a scan with MalwareBytes freebie, it often finds and fixes what other AV's miss.

If you have more than one AV running in real time it can cause the system to slow.
