This is kinda big question for me, I just want to know should i buy Quad Core or Dual Core for my system?

Graphic Card: ATI Radeon HD4850 @ 1GB

RAM: 4GB - 900Mhz NON-ECC Extreme

OS: Windows Vista ULTIMATE 64Bit

What processor i have doesn't matter. Becouse am going to buy Dual core or Quad Core. And i can't decide which one i should buy?

I have been reading lots of topic about "Quad Core vs Dual Core". Still I don't know which one is better.

Its really hard to deside

Here are my choices. What i am going to buy. But can't decide Dual Core or Quad Core

Intel Quad-Core Xeon UP X3330 2.66Ghz/1333/6M S775

INTEL CORE 2 Duo E8500 3.16GHZ 1333/6M S775

Or maybe i should take other processor?

Hard to answer, ha?

Well Quad Core costed more then That other Dual Core.

I need to know which one is better for games, as it is. Not for Overclocking.

It's not nearly as hard ;-)

It just depends on the productivity apps on the machine & what the system is primarily used for. If you frequent THG, there was a recent in-depth article covering the multi-core CPU debacle & based on the many tests conducted, it was concluded that 2 or 3 cores is still the way to go for mainstream & gaming enthusiasts alike. I'll try to find that article & post a link to it for you to check out.

PS. Here's that THG link

Thanks, Sabertooth. This time helped me alot. And you Sabertooth too.

Well thing was, that my Dual-Core what i have right now. Was using only 1 core. I putted to 2 cores. Now all works faster/Better. Never tought the problem would be number of cores.

And this question was about Processors. I didn't say anything about motherboard. I know i got s---ty motherboard. But i don't need better.
