I am having a huge problem with my downloads. Everything that I download, no matter what it is, vid, pic, flashplayer, win updates, nothing, no matter what, it goes to a temp file. I dont know how to change this. I have tried to go to many "HELP" on Microsoft, but nothing seems to answer my question. Or its just too confusing to understand if it is my problem. I have tried to run the Advanced Search on my computer with the hidden files etc. And no luck. So I am stuck. Can some one please help me. I really would like to start getting somewhere here soon please.

Try IE. and select save , the default destination is the users download folder c:\users\owner\downloads ,
You could try " Everything " from VoidTools If It's on the disc it will find it .

When you select a download, a window pops up with file name and destination, make sure it's pointing at the location you want it to go to like ...\downloads, after that all future downloads should go to this location until you change it.

maymae,
What browser are you using for saving things? Also, do you notice WHERE the items are saved when you download something? An easy way to check is to download something...make a note of where it's going (i usually save mine to the desktop). Then if you can't find the file, try downloading it again to be sure of where it is going.

Some HELP in posting on Computing.net plus free progs and instructions Cheers
