Comment:

I have vista home premium 64bit and many problems that come with it. One of the problems I frequently experience is with the taskbar. The tabs on the taskbar go all nuts, they start to overlap, lose their position and stop functioning. I attached a picture with this symptom. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello torque153 ,

Try a sfc check this will auto repair , if it can .

to run sfc

log on as administrator

safe mode

start\orb button

search

type cmd

in the result panel right click on cmd.exe & run as administrator

type sfc /scannow & press enter note the space between c & /

when it's finished type exit .

I prefer Process Explorer from Sysinternals for most things that I would other wise use task bar for , run from quick launch , It's much better , I find . Unfortunately I don't know if this runs on 64 bit as there forum site was down when I just tried .

Good luck with sfc .

Hello Jack Frost46,
I am not so sure You understood my problem. I don't have a problem with the task manager (was that what you were applying?) but with the task bar. I attached the picture but for some reason there is none to be seen, so here's the direct link: http://i446.photobucket.com/albums/...

BTW, In the past I have used the Process Explorer from Sysinternals.
