Hi,
My labtop has been working great until yesterday. I do not know what reason the system was hung (mouse can not move) after 5 or 10 mminutes running (AVItoDVD burning is runing). The I powered off the labtop and turned it on. It worked great and quick. Then I run AVItoDVD converter to make movie. When I returned after 5 or 10 minutes, the system was still, I could not move the mouse. I forced to power off the lab top. Notice that this has not happened before.

As you know, It is hard to do system restore in Window Vista.
First click on the start menu, then choose control panel, click on System and Maintenance. Click on backup and restore center. Clock on Restore File from Back up. Click on Use Window Restore to fox problem and undo changes to Windows. Then I select Chose Restore Point. But There is only point of current date. I do not see the previous restore points or Show restore points either

AFAIK, the System Restore I'm referring to is invoked the same way in Vista as it was in XP. You may be confusing that with the new Backup & Restore feature in Vista - there is a difference.
My other concern is that you think creating backups is a chore, if you value your data ... you shouldn't.
