Switching User Disconnects Internet

CPU/Ram: 2GB

When I switch TO an Admin user account, my internet disconnects. It doesn't disconnect when I am switching to a Standard account.

I did a google search and saw a similar post but it was from 2002. Someone named Panda knew a way to fix it by doing Registry Edit. I tried on Vista but didn't help.

Anyone know a fix to this? Thanks.

That may or may not work on Vista.

You would be advised to keep off the internet while on an admin account.

I read it wrong and answer it wrong too. So get off my case you goober.

jefro probably suggested that as a safety precaution although he may have amplified the imminent threat to some degree ;-)

So, what type of connection is this, dialup or DSL?

Check your wireless network settings & make sure under "Profile Types" accessibility is not set for "per-user basis".
