Hi to all,
After waking up my laptop from hibernation, it often happens that I know from the fan noise that there is a high CPU activity. Then, if I look at the tasks, I can see a svchost.exe SYSTEM process eating up to 40% of CPU. I terminate the process and everything is fine again. Can anybody explain the reason for that ?
Thanks in advance, Claude

Might have to use other tools. Start with performance monitor and also see systernals site at ms for tools to dig deep into processes.

Hi jefro,

Thanks for your input. What puzzles me most is that killing the process has absolutely no bad influence, apart from releasing the CPU !

Anyway I can survive, as the problem does not show up everyday, and I know how to handle it.
