Surveillance camera's no longer work

January 14, 2013 at 11:05:02
Specs: Windows Vista
I have at my place of business: Cable plus I furnish free WiFi to my customers. I had surveillance cameras installed a couple of years ago and I picked up the live images until a few months ago. When I try to use it it reads: Windows confirmed that " my numbers " is currently online but is not responding to connection attempts at this time. I am not using Windows Firewall, I am using Cable Firewall. I am using Vista.

Have you tried power cycling your surveillance camera hardware? It sounds like it's your hardware, not Vista that's having an issue.

I am pretty much a novice when it comes to this stuff. What do I do please?

Before you do that... most likely your ip address changed and you are using the wrong wan ip to access the cameras.

go to your business and logon to a pc. Go to and note the ip address it says you have. Compare this to the one you are using from home to access the cameras.

Do they match or are they different? If different use the one ipchicken showed you.

Answers are only as good as the information you provide.
