super slow to open new windows

So when I open IE its a little slow. But when I try to open an addition window, or click on something that needs another window it takes forever!! I do regular maintence and keep things updated. Please help before I throw it out the window!! :)

I did a defrag and it did help a very little bit, i did the disk cleaner thing. What is check disk?

Reinstalling the OS would be a last resort. How much RAM do you have installed, and how many other programs do you have open when you are using IE ?

Well you could also do an upgrades on increasing your RAM or changing it with more bigger RAM
