I put in burned vista on a dvd and it gets through the stuff fine until it says 'Installing updates ...' and it stays there forever. I dont have internet on that computer so it might be a problem. Tell me if you need more info. Ill keep it on the mean while, tell you what happens.

PS. I have my router plugged in to my computer but I still need the driver for the LAN

You can't do updates until you get the drivers for the lan.

Then you installation will continue.
