my son spilt his dads beer on my laptop after drying it out and cleaning it it works but the screens colour has gone funny to diffrent shades of blues i can still use it ok but carnt see colours very well iv tried changin the colour by laptop settings but hasnt made a diffrence will i have to get a new laptop or get new screen?? does anyone have any ideas how much a new screen would cost thanks
ps its a toshiba laptop

I recall another message about laptop screen recently, this one wasn't drunk, it was having coffee.
If I remember correctly the quote was $400 to replace.
Depending on the age and specs of the laptop, it may pay to check the price of a new one that is comparable, also you will have new warranty.
If you can live with it for a few months, it may be worth while to wait untill about September, new laptops may then be offered with a free upgrade to the new Windows 7 OS.
It's expected out in October with computers purchased a month before including the free upgrade.
It's a far better OS with better power managment for laptops and less resource hungery.

Put a fan on it or bury it in rice, opened. It might suck out the water.

cheers for help guys apperently i might be able to claim on house insurance so hopefully willl be able to get a new one

I never thought of claiming it on home owners insurance. Are you sure they are going to pay for that?
