Right click on computer then choose properties. if you don't see at the top Service Pack 1 under "Microsoft Windows Vista" then you don't have it.

But you won't have service pack 1 considering Vista Service Pack 1 RTM didn't get released to namebrand pc companies until Feb and pc's with Service pack 1 won't be on the show rooms in retail stores until the next couple of weeks.

You can download Vista SP1 here.

Just out of curiosity a) is this version that was previously on the site listed by Cobra_R the "proper final" version? and b) how many of you are using it?

Here's an interesting article about SP1 and receiving it through the automatic update feature of Windows Update:

Well you can either find a torrent to download it at or look through websites and see if you can find a registry hack that will let you download vista sp1.

Be patient - this CW reporter anticipated that everybody else minus sabertooth will get the official SP1 this coming Tuesday March 18, 2007 via Windows Update. Time will tell if the report turn out to be wrong again.

I was thinking we may get it this Tuesday too. We'll see, knowing Microsoft, mid-March equates to August.

Just noticed that Windows Update (KB938371) was delivered on March 10. This is one of three prerequisite updates before SP1 can be installed on your computer. Can't be long now!
