speech recog randomly turns off

Like to use Vista Speech Recognition for dictation, but while dictating it will periodically "turn off"...not "sleep" "OFF".

How do I stop it from doing that?!

It also shuts off after a random period of time while in "sleep" mode. I can understand that happening when turned on and saying nothing it goes to "sleep" but is it supposed to go from "sleep" to "off" automatically?

I have looked every where for similar incidents but find nothing online.

Anyone have a similar problem.

Just so you know it's a state of the art HP (brand new) - Intel Core 2 Quad CPU w/ 3 GHz, 4 GB of RAM, using 32 bit, and 2x 500GB HD running Windows Vista Business Edition SP1 (w/ updates).

I found it. Turns out that Dragon Naturally Speaking was installed but not working properly. I fixed it by changing DEP and looks like resolving it resolved the voice recognition from turning off randomly.
