Hello,

i have the motherboard Intel D865PERL. i have Vista 32bit installed and i have the following problem:

i have a 5.1 speaker configuration but only the front speakers output is working. my motherboard has SoundMax AD1985 sound system.

i have tested all speakers and they work, connected main& sub and rears to the front speakers and they worked, connected front speakers to the rear and front&sub connections but they do not work.

i have tried to find drivers for vista for my audio chip but could not. Soundmax diverts me to Interls website to get the drivers but there is nothing there i can use.

do you know where i can find a site with the latest soundmax.

if anyone else had the same problem and solved it please let me know how i can solve it also.

Thanks
thanks

I'm not familiar with 'SoundMax', but some sound adapters need to be setup for your speaker configuration. Hopefully there is a SoundMax utility to do that. Check the SoundMax folder and/or look in the Control Panel.

Already did that and did not work.

After testing, actually only front and sub are not working.
