I've tried everywhere but not able to get
anything to work for the audio on this HP Pavilion dv4000 Laptop.. SoundMax,HP,and Driverguide I have tried them all. Anyone
no a workaround I can try?

Is your machine updated to SP1, if not you need to do that first & foremost..
