sony vaio PCG 2J3L Virus

Specs: Windows 7
I have unfortunately gotten a virus on my PCG-2J3L All-In-One. The virus protection I have tells me its in the NTFS systems and can not be cleaned and my computer now does not want to do much at all. Some people have suggest doing a facorty restore from the Vaio Care Center but no where in there can I find the option to do a factory restore and I have lost my recovery disc and driver disc in a move. How else can I fix this or where can I get the disc from besides sony who wants a lot just for one disc and what all disc's would I need to do a full factory restore to get my computer back. And my OS is Vista not windows 7.

If you do a factory restore, you'll lose everything. Try removing the infection by booting off a Rescue CD.

If the hard drive contains a factory recovery partition which is still intact:

1) Switch off your Vaio.
2) Turn it back on whilst holding down Alt & F10 keys together.

What riider says about losing data when you perform factory restore is quite correct, so hopefully you were wise enough to keep your files backed up on a different hard drive or other media.

I understand I will loose everything and there is really nothing of importance on the pc that I need to keep. As long as I can start new and have my pc back I am ok with doing the factory restore. Will the restore also restore all the drivers I will need as well because I have no disc to recover these either?
