Some video files (usually .avi) play but without sound and I have no idea why. Some of these files are files I backed up and used to play on my old computer (same model actually, dell latitude) that had windows XP on it. I think most or all of the troubling files may be divx encoded but I'm not sure. I have installed the Divx codecs obviously because not even the video plays without the divx codecs. What can I do to get these files to play again. Both old files that I had backed up and I am sure used to work as well as about half the of the new files I download have this problem. Thanks.
