I have a Dell Inspiron e1505 laptop, and I am connecting to a D-Link DIR-615 wireless router. Whenever I start up my computer, I cannot go on the internet for anywhere between 2-4 minutes after it has booted up. This computer was a replacement for an XP machine of the same model I had bought a little before Vista was released, and I had never had this kind of problem before. Almost as soon as I could see my icons, I could start surfing the net. Now with Vista, I have to twiddle my thumbs until the red X on the networking icon goes away. I have tried running msconfig and disabling all startup entries, but the problem still persists. I don't know if anyone else experiences this problem, but if anyone has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.
